Flying over America's green farms, the flight lands in Denver, 'The Mile-High City'.

From Denver, it's a beautiful drive to Estes Park, Colorado, just outside of RMNP (Rocky Mountain National Park) to officially start the vacation. The 'Rockies' in the distance beckon me to hike them, although today is mostly a travel day. RMNP is nearly another mile higher than Denver; so much of this hiking will be happening at 2 miles or more above sea level -- which makes it more challenging.
