
Where trail & brook intersect, wooden log bridges ease the crossing. This is the dry season -- and I imagine these bridges are more essential in the spring when the water is gushing at higher volume.

The trail passes through an area called "Goblins Forest" as it continues up.

After about 2 hours of hiking, this trail approaches the 11,500 foot Alpine Zone -- and trees begin to get shorter. The Evergreen Pines never change color, but short shrubs and grasses provide a nice Fall Foliage display.
