Parts of the trail pass through groves of aspen trees -- which all turn yellow at the same time in Autumn. The sun shines through the thin leaves, giving them a bright glow -- and they make a pleasant rustling sound in the breeze.


I admire the tall straight trees and bright yellow colors -- and this is the perfect time for seeing this. Tomorrow it will rain and snow, and most of these leaves may be on the ground by then.
