 The next morning (Sun, Sept 10), is bright, warm and sunny. Today, I'll visit the Kayenta Trail and the Upper and Lower Emerald Pools, enjoying views of high cliffs along the way. Enjoyable, relaxing hiking today.

Nearby Sand Bench Trail is also easy and pleasant. This trail is sometimes shared with horses -- but today it's very quiet (almost no other people). Just this lizard with a blue stripe on his side enjoying the warm sun on a rock. There are a variety of lizards here -- each with their own unique colors and patterns.
