  Climbing up the stairs, we look back over the valley and mountains. Everywhere I look, the Inca left their mark, shaping and transforming the landscape. Ancient farming terraces can be seen on nearly every mountain, and what looks like it might have once been grain storage on the hillside across the valley, or perhaps a military post.
