Our time in Machu Picchu is over. We enjoy lunch at a nice restaurant right at the train station, then train back to Ollentaytambo where Luis picks us up in the van, and drives us back to Cusco where it all started. We spend the night in Cusco, and say good-bye to our tourguides and fellow travel companions.

The REI part of our trip is complete, but there are lots of interesting destinations in this part of the world. From here, some people travel south to La Paz, Bolivia and Lake Titicaca. Others go north to Ecuador and visit the Galapagos Islands. My destination is east, staying in Peru, to visit the natural wonders of the Amazon rainforest.
