Apparently, Peru has the greatest number of butterfly species in the world, and there's time for a quick stop to see some of them at the Mariposario Tambopata Butterfly Farm just across the street from the airport in Puerto Maldonado. The butterflies are enjoying a snack of banana slices in this picture.
