Sept 15; Another nice day, and a more moderate hike to recover from yesterday. Starting at Upper Beaver Meadows, I create a loop by hiking towards Ute Meadow, and back up via the Beaver Mountain Trail. I complete this 4.6 mile hike in about 3 hours. It has a relatively smooth path (pictured), and is at a lower elevation, but still has plenty of rolling up and down elevation gains -- and nice scenery along the way.

This hike has good views of the park, including a snaking stream and mountains in the distance. The field below is a good place to look for Elk and other wildlife if you have binoculars. There are almost no other hikers on this quiet & pleasant trail today.
