
Our next stop is the circular terraces of Moray. Little is known about these, but it's been observed that the temperature at the bottom can be 20-30 degrees warmer than the top, leading to speculation these might have been used to grow warmer weather crops than would otherwise be possible here.

There are several round (and roundish) terraces in this area, and it's possible these may also have been used for gatherings, or as an amphitheater. Up until about 10 years ago, locals were still farming these -- but that is currently suspended to allow archaeological preservation and repair of the site.
