 Reaching the 2nd of 3 milestones on this hike -- I gaze down from Emerald Lake overlook. When I hiked that lake earlier this week, the 10,000 foot elevation seemed like a big climb (and it was). But I'm now observing it from more than 1000 feet higher -- and still climbing. I can just barely see a teeny-tiny red & blue dot at the lake, which must be other hikers down there. < Click the photo for an expanded view >
