We explore the site for a while longer, enjoying the nice day. We wonder what this must have looked like with roofs on the buildings, gardens growing and probably hundreds of people living and working here.

There's a lot to see here, and we'll return tomorrow to hike up Machu Picchu Mountain (look skyward).
