  Machu Picchu, sitting at 8000' elevation was the starting point for today's climb as we now look down on this unique city from high above (click photo to zoom). Time to put our knees to the test and begin the descent down all those stairs. It would be easy to spend many more days exploring here, but our time in Machu Picchu is nearly up.
